Topics identified in small group discussions during the workshop are found in the Harlem Voices script by small groups. The matrix below matches songs in the musical with particular topics.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Participants in the small group decide who will read/perform the characters. Everyone must read/perform, so a group may need to perform more than one scene.

Music lyrics can also be spoken or sung using the recordings available as accompaniment. Work with the Facilitator, who will cue up the recordings.

INSTRUCTIONS

One page of script generally translates into one minute of performance time. The free mixing of genders, races, and ethnicities for participants is encouraged.

Performances will vary from 5-10 minutes, depending on the number of groups to perform.
